## Installation process

The main steps required to deploy Spacelift Flows are:

 1. Get your license key
 1. Prepare your environment for installation
 1. Deploy Spacelift Flows
 1. Perform first setup

The following sections explain each of these steps in detail.

## Getting your license key and installation materials

In order to install Spacelift Flows you need a valid license key.

## Preparing your environment

Before you can install Spacelift Flows, you need an environment to install it into. Please see the environment requirements page for more details.

## Deploying Spacelift Flows

Currently we only support deploying to AWS EKS, see [this guide](deploy-to-eks) for more details.

## First setup

Once Spacelift Flows has been deployed to your environment, follow our first setup guide to get your account up and running.

## Upgrading

Spacelift Flows supports zero downtime upgrades unless otherwise mentioned in the changelog. The process for upgrading to a new release is as follows:

 1. Make any required infrastructure adjustments
 1. Deploy the latest Spacelift Flows backend components
